Leap Into Spring Challenge Week #2

This week's theme is Easter/Eggs. I wasn't sure I would participate since we did not dye eggs this year for Easter (the boys wanted to ride bikes/scooters instead of dyeing eggs). But, luckily, this past Sunday, I saw these very cool, all natural eggs! We took the boys to the local train museum to ride Thomas the Train & they had a small petting farm there. These eggs were displayed on top of the chicken coop. I think they are simply gorgeous!

Who knew that different chickens laid different colored eggs? Not this city chick!

  2. Those sure are pretty eggs! I especially like the blue eggs. I had no idea that they laid different colored eggs. Learned something new!

Thanks so much for joining us in the Leap Into Spring Photo Challenge! We're moving on to blossoms/trees on Friday. Can't wait to see what you came up with! Have a great day!

  3. Dirty eggs make me happy. It's an odd side effect of raising chickens and collecting eggs every day I guess. The blue (and sometimes green) eggs are laid by Ameraucana and Araucana chickens.
